Starting to pull out of the dry spell a little, I think. Yesterday morning at church, I was able to feel. Our pastor preached on Romans 5:5. Then, we sang "Oh the Deep, Deep Love of Jesus." It was so sweet to feel tears again.
However, it's back to the struggle again this morning. I'm so glad that God's love for me doesn't depend on the fervor of my love for Him.
Oh, Melody, I'm so glad you're starting to come out of that dry spell! It is so good to feel again, to hear His word, sing beautiful hymns, feel tears! I'm so happy for you! And I know it's still a struggle, but it's always a struggle, and we all just have to keep on struggling, hold on to those joy-filled memories and pursue them until we can feel that way again. Oh, and you're so right! His love doesn't depend on ours - and praise God it doesn't! If it did, I don't know what I'd do!
Thank you so, so much for stopping by! Prayers for you.
